Gingerbread White Russian

Ingredients

Gingerbread Syrup:

  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1 ⅓ cups water
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • teaspoon ground clove

For the White Russians:

  • ¼ cup vodka
  • 3 tablespoons Kahlua
  • 3 tablespoons homemade gingerbread syrup
  • ¼ cup half and half *more or less depending on how creamy you want it

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the water, vanilla, brown sugar, molasses, ginger, cinnamon and clove. Bring to a boil over high heat for 3-5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  • Rim 8oz cocktail glasses with cinnamon sugar. Fill the cocktail glasses half way with ice. Stir in the vodka, Kahlua and 3 tablespoons of the gingerbread syrup; stir well. Then pour in the half and half and gently mix. ENJOY!
