Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly brewed black coffee divided OR 3-4 shots espresso
  • 2 cups oat milk or whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • dash of salt
  • homemade whipped cream to top (optional)
  • boxed gingerbread man cookies to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • In a medium pot over medium heat, combine the oat milk, maple, brown sugar, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and a dash of salt. Bring to a gentle simmer and whisk until the spices are combined. Using either an immersion blender (or by hand with a whisk), froth the milk for 2 minutes until frothy.
  • Divide the brewed coffee between two mugs and pour over the gingerbread milk. Top with fresh whipped cream, a dash of cinnamon and gingerbread cookies to serve. ENJOY!
