These extra cozy Spiced Gingerbread Oat Milk Lattes are made with a simple homemade gingerbread base and frothed oat milk. They’re sweet, spicy and absolutely perfect on a snowy winters day!
The snow is gently falling and the world is covered in a blanket of beautiful, powdery snow. My heart is full.
Can you believe Christmas is already next week?! Time is surely flying, and I am trying to savor every moment of the Christmas season before it’s gone.
The magic. The lights. The wonder and beauty of the season. And of course, the most important reason of all- my savior coming to redeem us all from the dominion of darkness.
“a thrill of hope- the weary world rejoices.”
I think we can all agree the world is weary.
With so much pain and heartache, it’s easy to see only darkness. And yet… there is hope. A thrill of hope. May we choose to hold onto the hope that was offered to us on that fateful night in a filthy, back alley manger.
As we head towards Christmas and the end of December, may we remember to look forward into the new year with hopeful anticipation; for there is much yet to unfold in the greatest story ever written.
Plus, isn’t a beautiful reminder that our story, your story, isn’t over?
I for one am so excited for the New Year and am looking forward with hope and beauty for all that is to come.
But until the year comes to an end, I am trying to squeeze in as much Christmas festivities as possible. One simple way I love to do that is through the flavors of the seasons. It’s just not Christmas without gingerbread- and this just may be my new favorite way to enjoy the flavor! If you love coffee and gingerbread, then you will absolutely love these delicious lattes!
These Spiced Gingerbread Lattes will definitely bring some joy this holiday season! They’re sweet, spicy and taste like Christmas in a cup.
Aren’t they just so cute?!
I have a feeling these will become a new Christmas morning tradition.
What you need for Gingerbread Oat Milk Lattes:
With just a few pantry staple spices, these gingerbread lattes come together in less than 10 minutes and are the perfect winter treat!
Here is what you will need:
- your favorite freshly brewed black coffee OR 3-4 shots espresso
- oat milk or whole milk
- pure maple syrup
- dark brown sugar
- molasses
- ground ginger
- ground cinnamon
- nutmeg
- vanilla extract
- salt
- homemade whipped cream to top (optional)
- boxed gingerbread man cookies to garnish (optional)
How to make the Spiced Gingerbread Base:
Besides how delicious and adorable these spiced gingerbread lattes are, another reason I love them is for how seriously easy they are! I think we can all agree that the easier and less stressful the better during the holiday season.
You will start with the spiced gingerbread base. In a pot medium or small pot over medium heat, whisk together the oat milk, pure maple syrup, dark brown sugar, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and a dash of salt. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and whisk well until the spices are combined.
Once the spiced gingerbread base is made it’s time to froth the milk.
One simple way I love to add a little frothiness to my lattes is with my immersion blender! If you have an immersion blender, immerse the spiced oat milk for 1-2 minutes until it begins to froth.
If you don’t have an immersion blender, you can also vigorously whisk the gingerbread milk for 1-2 minutes with either a fork or a whisk to get some frothiness. When ready to serve, divide the freshly brewed coffee between two mugs, pour over the spiced gingerbread milk and top with a dollop of whipped cream and gingerbread cookies if desired.
And that’s it! So easy, right?! Who needs Starbucks when you can make an even better latte from home!
